Huge congratulations to Andy Murray on winning his 2nd Olympic Gold Medal in an epic final against Juan Martin del Potro.
It is also wonderful to see DelPo back at the upper echelons of our sport after his prolonged wrist injury problems.
To push the ‘in form’ world no.2 so hard after such an extended absence is a testament to his skill, determination and PlayBrave spirit. DelPo was clearly exhausted after his tough semi against Rafa but his deep reserves of inner strength and determination kept him competitive and dangerous until the very last ball.
Andy’s impressive list of elite achievements continues to grow (Wimbledon (2), US Open, Davis Cup, Olympic Gold (2)) and there is no doubt that his burning desire to win will earn him several more in the coming years.
